We are happy to announce that the fundraising campaign for the Panchthar hydroelectric project in Nepal has been completed. Thanks to the support of so many people, we have reached the target needed to move forward with the construction of a 7 kW micro-hydropower plant, which will provide clean and reliable energy to four villages in the valley. The project will benefit approximately 850 people across 105 families who, until now, have lacked access to basic energy infrastructure.
This achievement would not have been possible without everyone who believed in the project from the very beginning: our donors, supporters, friends and families, as well as everyone who shared our initiative and contributed their time, energy and generosity.
On behalf of SEED of LIGHT, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to providing light, opportunities and greater independence to the communities of Panchthar. The work continues: over the coming months, the plant will be completed thanks to our valued local collaborator and engineer, Bahadur Limbu, working alongside the local community. We will continue to share updates on the project’s progress with you.
Thank you for sowing the seeds of light with us.
