Schools of Chasuwatar and Chyaksa Dada

Introduction
Two primary schools in remote villages of the Sankhuwasabha district, in the same valley where Seed of Light has been active since 2025. Shree Kalika Basic School in Chasuwatar has 29 students and 6 teachers; Shree Shikshya Jyoti Basic School in Chyaksa Dada has 57 students and 5 teachers. Both serve families with limited resources, in isolated communities where access to basic teaching materials is far from guaranteed. The schools reached out to the association directly, already aware of its presence in the region through its local partners.

Execution
The requests for support came from the schools’ own representatives. A local Seed of Light collaborator verified the actual needs on site before any purchase was made. All materials were bought in Nepal and transported to the schools with the help of local people.

In Chasuwatar, a laptop, a desktop computer, and a printer were delivered. In Chyaksa Dada, a laptop, a desktop computer, an office cabinet, and two chairs.

Impact
The project directly reached 86 students and 11 teachers. The computers and printer allow teachers to prepare teaching materials they previously couldn’t produce. It’s a small intervention, but it responds to a concrete need expressed by the people who work in those classrooms every day.
